Q: What are the costs of renting a phone?
A:    The following are the costs of renting a phone:
  • Depend on the phone, you pay as low as $.80 each daily.
  • Rent and activate SIM card for only $10.
  • A phone deposit which will be returned at the end of the rental.

Q: Why are there 2 SIM card types?
A:     The airtime service, Mobifone and Vinaphone, currently offer and charge 2 types of SIM card:
  • SIM card only. There is no minutes attached to the sim card (Not Recommended)
  • SIM card with 300,000 VND (approximately $30). You can make 86 minutes local call (Recommended)

Q: What are the cost of making phone call in Vietnam?
A:     For the SIM card with 300000 VND and can call
  • Local:   86 minutes or about 23 cents per minute
  • Neighbor Zone:   50 minutes or about 40 cents per minutes
  • To the U.S.:   9 minutes or about $2 per minute

    Note: you don’t pay anything for incoming calls regardless of where from.

Q: What happen if I use up all the minutes?
A:     If you need more minutes, you can buy scratch cards anywhere in Vietnam and follow the instruction to recharge your phone.

Q: How much do I have to pay when I reserve a phone online?
A:     At the time of making online reservation, you have to use a credit card to pay either
  • The rental cost or
  • The total cost (Rental Cost + Phone Deposit).

    Note: However, if you reserve the phone through our travel agent, you only need to make $5 payment. The balance and the deposit will have to be paid when you pick up the phone.

Q: Can I select a phone number?
A:      You can select a number only within two weeks prior to the date you pick up the phone. If you reserve the phone more than 2 weeks prior to the pickup date, you can't pick a number yet. However, you can use your confirmation number to log back in within 2 weeks period and choose a number.
If you choose not to select your own phone number, we will assign you a phone number at the time you pick up the phone.

Q: Why "Nice" Number costs $5 extra?
A:      Because we only have a limited number of "Nice" numbers, we have to charge more to those still wish to obtain them. However, the $5 extra charge do not incur if you select a regular number.

Q: How do I receive the phone?
A:      We offer 3 ways for you to get the phone:
  • At your residential address or a designated location in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Our employee will deliever the phone directly to you by appointment.
  • At the Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Our employee will wear special, easy-to-recognized cloth and meet renter at a designated area.
  • At our office in Binh Thanh District (307 Phan Van Tri, Ward 24, Binh Thanh District, TPHCM). Tel.: (08) 5164021 / (08) 5164022.

Q: How do I return the phone?
A:      We offer to pick up the phone at your designed location in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). However, you can return the phone to our office in Vietnam or securely mail it to us. Upon receiving the rental phone in the same good conditions, we will return the deposit back to you.

Q: Is there any late charge if I return to phone to Rangdong late?
A:      No. We do not charge late fee. You pay for what you use.

Q: What are the payment methods?
A:      We currently accept only cash and credit card.
  • Credit Card: We accept major credit cards, and process your payment through our secure paypal credit processing system.
  • Cash: We can make a cash deposit on the phone at the time of receiving the phone in Vietnam. However, you need to pay for the rental charges when making reservation.

    Note: However, if you wish to pay by check, please send the check to us and allow at least 2 weeks for the check to clear.

Q: What is the phone deposit?
A:      Because of the high cost of the phone, we required all renters to pay a phone deposit at the time of pick up the phone. If the phone is return to us in the same condition, you will get the deposit back. If you deposit by Cash, you will get Cash back. If you deposit by credit card, we will credit your account amount equal to the deposit or give you cash back

Q: How do I cancel my reservation?
A:      To ensure uninterupted service, we required that you cancel your reservation 2 days prior to the pickup date. All cancellations less than 2 days within pickup date subject to a charge equal to 7 days of rental.
